Ghanaians have been thrown into wild celebrations following the return of the Ghana Premier League with social media erupting with thunderous and joyous messages.
Soccer loving Ghanaians have been left in a state of uncertainty since the 5th of February this year following a court action by Accra Great Olympics.
A start date for the Ghana Premier League could not be announced leaving several Ghanaians who are fondly in love with the local league in a complete state of confusion as to when the league will start.
Following the decision of an Accra High Court, presided over by Justice Yeboah, to dismiss the application for an interlocutory injunction by Accra Great Olympics, the football public has been wildly jubilating over the news.
Not only has the news been welcomed by many who are fondly following football, it has also come as a major relief for several club administrators who keep expanding their expenditure on the clubs anticipating the start of the season.
Followers and admirers of the Ghana Premier League took to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to express their happiness following the return of the league.
The Ghana FA has already announced that 17th March 2018 as the start date for the season with several clubs welcoming the date.
Medeama SC, Dreams FC and Techiman Eleven Wonders have already released their match jingles for their opening league matches while several others have released their season league songs.
Despite the delay in the start of the league, clubs are eager to see the start of the season with almost all clubs engaging in various friendly matches.
With the start date finally out, the showdown for who becomes the new Ghana Premier League champion start on Saturday.
Yabadadooooooo, the Ghana Premier League is back!
