Berekum Chelsea CEO Nana Oduro Sarfo was not impressed by the showboating tendencies of Victorien Adebayor in their clash against Inter Allies on matchday 10.
Berekum Chelsea suffered a shock 3-1 defeat at home to Inter Allies and Victorien Adebayor made a huge difference in the game, scoring two goals.
The brace took him to joint top of the Ghana Premier League goal king race with 10 but the talk of fans on that day was his cheeky nutmeg on Ahmed Adams before scoring in the game.
Oduro Sarfo however was not impressed by the skill and stated that he should win the title with it.
“For nutmegging everyone does it, so if he has done some this is nothing, let him win the league title with it, after nutmegging how many points does his club (Inter Allies) has? He should continue nutmegging”, Oduro Sarfo told FOX FM.
He added that the same thing happened to him during the game.
“What he did to Ahmed Adams, Ahmed Adams did same to him in the course of the game”, Oduro Sarpong told FOX FM. “Ahmed Adams nutmegged him, Sakaria Fuseini also nutmugged him but they (the media) didn’t see that”.
“That (Adebayor’s nutmeg to Ahmed Adams) even didn’t bring a goal, he did that later before he scored the goal, if he had scored immediately after dribbling past Ahmed Adams then I will say he has done something extraordinary”, he argued.
Victorien Adebayor is now level with Aduana Stars hitman Yahaya Mohammed who also has 10 goals.
