Former player of the Black Stars and Ghana's triple Olympian Rev Osei Kofi has sent a strong warning to the Normalization Committee and government for that matter, not to allow the winner of the NC's Special Competition to represent Ghana in Africa .
According to the former skipper of Hearts and Kotoko, since the special competition is not league, it cannot be the basis for a club to represent Ghana in Africa. He further argued that , the club selected will end up disgracing the country, just like Kotoko did in the recent campaign in Africa.
"If no league has begun, then its better no team represents Ghana to go and disgrace us. I am telling the government to advise the clubs not to go to Africa. The Normalization Committee is suppose to normalise the GFA statutes, but they haven't,what is this special competition for,"he fumed in an interview with Angel TV's Esther Abankwa
The Normalization Committee Special Competition which begun at the end of March this year has been categorized into two sectors, which is the Northern Zones and Southern Zones.
