Ghana winger Solomon Asante says he is privileged to have a chance to play against some of the best players at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The 25-year-old and his TP Mazembe teammates will have the opportunity to lining up against the star-studded Barcelona side when the competition commences on December 10 in Japan.

Asante is one of five Ghanaian players who will be featuring at the World stage for the first time after playing key roles for TP Mazembe in their CAF Champions League triumph.

The former Berekum Chelsea winger is expected to make a full recovery from injury to feature for the Ravens at the Club World Cup.

And the Ghana international says he is humbled by the opportunity to play against some of the best players in the world.

“I am very happy for this privilege,” he said.

“It is not every player who will get such a chance so I am happy for have a chance to play with some of the best players in the world.”

Aside Barcelona, River Plate will also be competing in the tournament as champions from the CONMEBOL region as will Guangzhou Evergrande, Auckland City and America who are from the AFC, OFC and CONCACAF zones.

They will be joining hosts Japan in the 10-day tournament.
