Ghana international Asamoah Gyan says featuring at the FIFA World Cup remains the highest point of his career.

The 34-year-old played at three World Cup tournaments with the Black Stars in 2006, 2010 and 2014.

Gyan made impressive appearances in all three tournaments, becoming Africa’s highest scorer at the World Cup with six goals.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Pulse.com.gh, the ex-Ghana skipper said nothing compares to being able to play at the World Cup.

Asked what the highest point of his career is, Gyan told pulse.com.gh: “Being able to play at the World Cup.”

He explained: “It’s not an easy task for any footballer. It’s every footballer’s dream to play at the World Cup.”

The NorthEast United forward also touched on the best goal he has scored in his football career.

According to him, the strike against the USA at the 2010 World Cup stands tall.

He was, however, quick to point out that most of his exceptional strikes were not captured on camera for the world to see.

“People saw the World Cup goal against the USA, people saw my goal against England [but] there are a lot of goals I scored that the camera couldn’t capture.

“For now, though, I’ll say the goal against the United States in 2010 [is my greatest],” he quipped.

Gyan is currently Ghana’s all-time top scorer with an impressive 51 goals.
