It appears Kumasi Asante Kotoko may lose the services of their midfield enforcer Yahaya Mohammed as a result of contractual disagreement.
Reports say the midfielder has told officials of the Porcupine Warriors that he can only renew his contract which expires at the end of the season if the club can offer him GHC80,000.
Kotoko, according to insiders, have tabled a two-year contract but it has since been rejected by the player and his agent.
“They are demanding GHC40,000 annually so the two years will be GHC80,000 but Kotoko are just cash-strapped so they are cajoling Yahaya to slash the amount,” the source told finalwhistlegh.com.
However, it is believed that the likes of Aduana and Ashantigold have shown interest and are keenly monitoring the situation and could pounce for the player if Kotoko fail to reach an agreement with him.
Former Champions Aduana are prepared to fork out a whopping sum of GHC120,000 for his services while Ashantigold are ready to lure him with GHC100,000 for a two-year period.
