Tanzanian giants Young Africans have terminated the contract of former Bechem United winger Augustine Okrah.

According to Tanzanian-based Ghanaian journalist Micky, the club wanted to continue with the player, but the manager decided against it.

The report suggests that the former Asante Kotoko man and the coach are not on good terms.

As a result, Okrah was excluded from the manager's plans, which led to an ultimatum: either the player would leave, or the manager would.

"Club leaders want Okrah to stay, but the coach says he's not in his plans. The coach says they should choose between him and Okrah—who will stay. The coach also said that if they let Okrah stay, then he will go and train with the U-20 side. He doesn't want Okrah in his first team. Finally, Okrah has to leave, and then the coach stays," Micky wrote on Instagram.

Augustine Okrah joined Yanga in December 2023 for a reported transfer fee of $120,000.

A report by GHANASoccernet suggests that Yanga has yet to make the full payment of the fee, as Bechem United have taken the Tanzanian side to FIFA.

Yanga have reportedly paid $20,000 out of the agreed transfer fee.
