Ex Fenebarhce star Yaw Preko has advised Andre Ayew to ‘play with his heart’ in order to be a success at the club.
The Swansea forward has joined the Istanbul based giants on an initial loan move.
Ayew, 28 has been handed the number 20 jersey and becomes the fourth Ghanaian after Sam Johnson, Yaw Preko and Stephen Appiah to play for the SuperLig outfit.
Preko who played a year at Fenerbahce says Andre Ayew must hit the ground running instantly in order to win over the fans of his new club.
“At Fenerbahce, you’ll have to play with your heart,” he told FootballMadeInGhana.com.
“Thanks to television and the internet they are very much aware of the pedigree of Dede but they want to see it on the pitch.
“Turkish fans are just like Ghanaians, they want to see their players fully committed.
“So from his [Ayew] first game, he must show them what he is made up for and the fans will forever be for you. No wonder the Ghanaians that had played there [Fenerbahce] were successful.”
Andre Ayew will be hoping to recapture the form that once made him one of the most in-demand players in Europe.
Fenerbahce has an option to sign the Ghana international permanently at the end of his loan spell.
