Award-winning Boxer Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe has praised the valour of his chief supporter and promoter former President Rawlings regarding the circumstances under which the 31st December revolution happened and how he steered it, MyNewsGh.com has learnt.
According to him, Mr Rawling deserves credit for Ghana’s democracy and the stability it is enjoying.
If there was one single person who believed in the career of Dogboe and envisioned for him to be a world title holder then the first and last name that easily comes to mind is the former president, Jerry John Rawlings.
The former president has been a staunch supporter and cheer leader of the talented boxer. Mr Rawlings has never missed any of Dogboe’s fight in Ghana, and promotes the boxer heavily.
Rawlings said of Isaac Royal Storm Dogboe: “Dogboe now has the responsibility of carrying on from where Azumah Nelson left off. Let’s give him all our support, give him good fights to ensure that he captures the world featherweight champion.”
During the 37th anniversary of the 31st December Revolution in Ashaiman in Accra where Mr Rawlings invited Isaac Dogboe to speak, he enchanted the crowd with his ”neho” chant before proceeding to give a rousing speech.
“It took a revolution to put Ghana where it is at today. The people cried for change, God heard them and He sent a deliverer.
A man who is known by many names…ñwoli dzangla, little Jesus and so on…
Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings, the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led a successful Revolution with a handful of individuals to restore democracy, stability and peace to our country Ghana.”

A day that I had not met but through the tuition of my father who encountered the Revolution and benefitted from the fruits of the revolution especially the purpose of which the revolution was staged.
It is with that conviction I am here today as a young patriot of Ghana and Africa to echo and to add my voice to the just cause of building the fabrics of integrity for our dear country Ghana and the world.
Principles of integrity, Accountability, social justice and living for the sake of others is what I believe in as a person.

I AM NOT HERE AS A POLITICAL ACTIVIST!!!
But here as a young Patriot who believes in the just cause for liberating our country from the abyss of corruption and poverty. A cancer that if not checked and eradicated has the tendency of destroying not only the future generation but the very existence of our being.
