Ghanaian media personality, Bridget Otoo, has joined numerous people in ridiculing England after losing to Spain in the 2024 European Championship final on Sunday, Juley 14, 2024.

According to her, England was highly confident about their chances of winning the trophy before the competition began and publicly boasted about it.

She pointed out that despite having a star-studded squad and adopting the mantra "It's coming home," they ultimately went home without a trophy.

"You go into a tournament with 'It's coming home.' Well, now you [England] are going home trophyless!" she wrote on her X page.

Meanwhile, social media users in Ghana have been mocking the English national team for failing to clinch the trophy for almost six decades.

Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal were on the score sheet for Spain with Cole Palmer getting the consolation for England in the 2-1 loss.

Spain were crowned champions of the UEFA European Champions for the fourth time following an astonishing final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany.
