Striker Saddick Adams wants Thomas Abbey to accept that Hearts were not just good for Kotoko in the 2017 FA Cup final and not because the Phobians were hungry.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak captain claims the Phobians were physically not ready for the game after suspending training before the clash due to unpaid salaries and bonuses.
And Saddick thinks Abbey is just weaving for excuses for losing the 2017 MTN FA Cup final.
A first-half hat-trick by Saddick Adams gave Asante Kotoko a 3-1 thrashing of Hearts to lift their ninth FA Cup trophy at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
“When the club was owing you, you didn’t come out to say anything so why say it now? Thomas Abbey is just finding excuses which isn’t the best.
“Thomas knew it was a final match, so if you decide not to play they will bring the money.
“If I were Abbey, I wouldn’t have played the game. Now that they’ve lost the game, the player is at fault not management,” he told Angel FM in Kumasi.
Adams ended by saying Asante Kotoko were just better than their rivals on the day.
