Former spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has jabbed Kwesi Nyantakyi, warning that his day of reckoning is near.

Speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM, the Hearts of Lions owner aimed a sly dig at his former boss, saying everything that has a beginning has an end.

Randy Abbey was one of Nyantakyi’s trusted lieutenants when he was elected as FA president, however, the pair later fell out following certain misunderstandings.

The former FA spokesperson has now opened up on some issues and has slammed Nyantakyi for what he described as an “unjust system” of running football.

According to him, has used his power as FA boss to run a system based on “cronyism and friendship” to the detriment of football development.

“It is true that I have taken a back seat in football and I’m no longer in the driving seat. A lot of things have happened and I have decided not to talk about them. Because everything that has a beginning has an end and sometimes it is good to be patient,” Abbey said.

“Life is a marathon not a sprint. Everything that has a beginning has an end so I can’t be bothered. People can do whatever they want to do but I’m not bothered. Life is a marathon not a sprint so I’m not bothered at all. So you can take the lead today and think that you have power and authority so you can use it anyhow you want.

“You will use it for your benefit, run an unjust system, run a system based on cronyism and friendship it’s up to you but the day of reckoning will come,” he added.

Nyantakyi has been GFA president since 2005, but has been tipped by many to seek re-elction despite publicly stating last year that he will step down after his current term.
