Ghana defender John Boye has reiterated that the crucial World Cup qualification group match against Zambia on September 06 means so much than a mere football match.
The France-based defender who missed Ghana’s international friendly against Turkey last week through injury has fully recovered and is expected to provide a major boost to the team ahead of the decider.
“I was out with a muscle strain but I am now back to full fitness and hopefully I will play in our next league game during the weekend,” the Stade Rennes defender told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
“I am so much delighted to have recovered on time ahead of the match in Kumasi against Zambia because that match means a lot to every Ghanaian, especially we the playing body because we know what we stand to gain by our qualification.”
Boye added: “I speak to all the boys and they are so poised to make Ghanaians happy that day because a third consecutive World Cup appearance will be a big morale booster and record for all the players and the country too.”
