Osei Kwaku Palmer, the owner of Tema Youth Football Club, has criticised Black Stars Coach Otto Addo, stating that the former Black Stars winger is not worthy of his position.
In an interview with Asempa FM, Palmer said that Otto Addo has demonstrated grave incompetence during his tenure as Ghana coach and should, therefore, be fired.
He argued that the results of the Black Stars' matches clearly indicate Otto Addo's level of competence.
I've always been clear with my opinion on Otto Addo (that he is not the right man)," he told Asempa FM.
"If you look at the results that he has been producing, do you think he is doing well? We said Kwasi Appiah should be sacked because he was not good, but he is the one who has helped Sudan to qualify for the 2025 AFCON and beat us in the process," he added.
Otto Addo’s future has been a subject of discussions following the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars, who were in Group B, finished bottom with three points from six matches played against Angola, Sudan, and Niger.
Ghana lost three, drew three, and won none of the matches played in the qualifying series.
The Ghana Football Association announced that they are consulting the government on the next step to take regarding Otto Addo’s position.
