The maiden edition of the iX Global Cryptocurrency Conference will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Tomreik Hotel in Accra.

The programme themed ”The New Digital Wave,” would bring together policymakers, entrepreneurs, captains of industry, and the business community.

Mr Samuel Akoto Asante, Liaison Officer of the Conference, speaking at a press briefing in Accra, said cryptocurrency represented the new wave of modern financial transactions, and they would want to use this platform to create awareness about it.

”I am very hopeful that various individuals and groups who will partake in Friday’s conference will have a deeper understanding of how cryptocurrency works.

”We want to use this platform to create employment, and our blockchain is very friendly and decentralized,” he said.

Mr Asante noted that people are often scared to venture into the cryptocurrency market, but participants would be taught about the safety regulatory measures that had been installed to ensure value protection.

Among the international dignitaries who will speak at the conference are iX Global President Paul Barlow, Founder Joe Martinez, and Assistant iX Vice President Fernando Duarte.
