Three doctors have been sentenced in connection with the death of a woman who was raped in a hospital in Guinea.

This comes after the court found them guilty of assault and battery and carrying out an abortion.

According to a BBC.com report, there was public outrage after the government in 2021 said, M'Mah Sylla, the victim had died in Tunisia where she had been evacuated for treatment after being raped.

Daniel and Patrice Lamah ware sentenced to 15 years in prison and a third doctor, Celestin Millimouna - on the run - was given a 20-year sentence.

Patrice Lamah and Millimouna were also found guilty of rape, BBC.com report added.
