A South African MP has lamented that Kenyan MPs appear to have better perks than those in his country.
Nqabayomzi Kwankwa who is Kenya for a consultative meeting with East Africa MPs said it made him realise he was an MP for the wrong country.
In a tweet, he said that Kenyan MPs have use of a driver, a bodyguard, a personal assistant and a communication officer while in South Africa they fend for themselves.
Mr Kwankwa shared a photo of himself with Senator Isaac Mwaura:
Spending a day with Hon. Dr Mwaura today in Nairobi, I realized that I am an MP for a wrong country. ???? MPs here have a driver, a body guard, a PA, a researcher, a communications officer & an admin assistant. @BantuHolomisa. In SA, we fend for ourselves. We don’t even have PAs. pic.twitter.com/7dQYwFK8GX
