Kenya's crisp-eating comedian Elsa Majimbo, who gained popularity for her monologues on Twitter and Instagram since the start of coronavirus pandemic, says she has bagged a deal with Rihanna's fashion brand Fenty.
The 19-year-old comedian said she was proud of her deal to promote shades from Fenty.
"Thanking the Fenty fam they’ve been so amazing and Rihanna for this amazing brand," she tweeted.
Her videos, filmed in her bedroom in the capital, Nairobi, have drawn viewership across the continent. She crunches potato crisps while often leaning on a pillow during her monologues, before sliding on dark sunglasses.
Many of her videos have tens of thousands of views on social media.
On her YouTube profile she says she uses iPhone 6 to record the videos.
In July, she told the UK-based Guardian newspaper that her family didn't like her videos at first, but they are slowly accepting them. She hinted that in future she will do more acting and less studying - she's a journalism student at Strathmore University in Nairobi.
