South African Television personality and Disc Jockey Lerato Kganyago, has advised the youth to learn everything surrounding the craft (Music/Media) they want to do so to be ready when their chance comes.
The celebrated Presenter was sharing her story as she revealed she made sure to learn the different aspects of her profession – from sound, camera, producing, and editing.
She did that to better understand the job and make her knowledgeable with the work.
Lerato stated that made her respect the more, everyone associated with her productions because she knows what goes into it.
She revealed she stopped her Air Hostess job of 4 years to enter into the media space and didn’t receive a salary for 4 years while at Soweto TV because she wanted to perfect her craft and always knew she will be a big deal in the media space.
Lerato encouraged volunteerism and suggested community station or platforms as the first choice,
She was speaking at the maiden edition of the South African Music Week on the topic ‘Woman to Woman in the Music Industry’ with Moozlie and hosted by Kyle Cassim.
Lerato Kganyago is a South African television presenter, model, businesswoman, and socialite best known for hosting her own talk show on Soweto TV called The LKG Show; and for hosting the SABC1 lifestyle magazine show The Link. She first entered the public eye in 2002 when she was crowned Miss Jam Alley in 2002.
