The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, agreed with the Algerian Foreign and Interior Ministers, Sabri Boukadoum and Kamel Beljoud, to continue working in unison through coordination and consultations on confronting threats to the region’s security, including terrorism, transnational organized crime, drug smuggling, arms trade and illegal immigration.
The Media Office of the Prime Minister stated that during the meeting held in Tripoli on Monday, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush, issues discussed were the intensifying of cooperation and political consultation on various issues of common interest, stressing the importance of expediting the sitting of preparatory meetings for the 14th session of the Joint Higher Executive Committee.
The Media Office indicated that Libya is working on activating the Maghreb Union through calling for a meeting of the Union countries at the level of Foreign Ministers.
