A Kenyan cabinet minister has been involved in a road accident while on his way to attend the burial of former President Daniel arap Moi.

Mr Raphael Tuju, who sits in the cabinet but has no portfolio, was rushed to a nearby hospital while complaining of chest pains.

He is to be airlifted to the capital, Nairobi.

Mr Tuju's vehicle collided with a minibus taxi on the highway to Nakuru, in the Rift Valley region, where former president Daniel arap Moi's burial will be held.
