Rising actor, Abayomi Alvin, has said that he knows where to draw the line when it comes to dealing with his female fans. The graduate of Sociology and Anthropology from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, told Sunday Scoop how he handles female attention.
“I always know where to draw the line. I know who to bring closer and who to just say ‘hi’ to. At the end of the day, one cannot be friends with everybody and everyone can’t be close to you. I won’t lie to you, the female attention has been there but one needs to be sensible and focused because one can easily be swayed in this industry. From money to women to fame– all these can make one lose focus. One would just realise that people are celebrating one this year and by the next year, one is nowhere to be found. However, I know why I am here and I know what I am doing. I’m not claiming to be a saint but I have set some personal boundaries that I cannot cross.”
Alvin, who has played the role of a student in a number of movies also maintained that he wasn’t been stereotyped. He said, “I don’t think I am being stereotyped with the roles I play. I am actually not old, so am I supposed to be playing the role of someone in his 30s? Apart from Shuga and Mums at War, I cannot recall any movie where I played the role of a secondary school student.”
