Bola Tinubu's dominance in the southwest was visible after he won three local governments in Ondo State according to Daily Trust

The local government is Akure North, Akoko South East, and Akoko South West.

In Akure North, Tinubu polled 14,261 votes to defeat the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party standard bearer, Peter Obi, who got 4,633 and 2,945 votes respectively.

In Akoko South East, TInubu secured 10,765 votes, Atiku got 3,016 votes and Obi polled 470 votes.

In Akoko South West, Tinubu scored 28,367 votes, Atiku, 5,376 and Obi got 920 votes.
