The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the suspension of its National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from the party.

His suspension was conducted by the executive members of Ganduje Ward in the Dawakin-Tofa local government area of Kano State.

Addressing the press on Monday, April 15, 2024, the legal adviser of the ward, Halliru Gwanzo, said Ganduje’s suspension was a unanimous decision by members of the ward having being accused of gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds during his administration as governor of the state.

He noted that Ganduje could not clear his name amid corruption allegations that followed the 8-year administration.

Gwanzo said; “We decided to suspend Dr. Ganduje from the party due to the seriousness of the allegations against him”.

Meanwhile, the Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, State Working Committee, has also suspended ward party leaders who earlier suspended the National Chairman of the Party, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, from the party.
