Fast-rising Afrobeats talent, Chukwuka Ekweani popularly known in showbiz circle as Ckay has waded into the never-ending debate that has characterized the poor management of the economy by the Buhari led-administration.

Ckay who describes himself as a futurist told MyNigeria.com the current administrators of the economy have done nothing but to commandeer corruption, embezzlements and lack of trust from citizens for government officials.

He said that Buhari and his government didn’t deliver the change they promised they would when they campaigned for power, adding that he will rate the president’s performance zero-over-ten if he had the opportunity to.

Despite this, he says he is still hopeful and optimistic for a better
Nigeria.

“I probably wouldn’t rate them at all but if I will, I will give them zero-over-ten. That’s my personal opinion. It was clearly not the change we were promised,” he said.

“There is a lot we need to do in politics and infrastructure and everything. I will say, I choose to be hopeful and I choose to be optimistic even though the circumstances are not really encouraging to do so but I choose to be optimistic for Nigeria.”

When asked what he would do differently if he became president for a period, Ckay said irrespective of his disinterest in the politics, the first thing he will do as president will be to stop the embezzlement of money.

"I have no interest in being president but, if I were a president, I guess I would be more honest and fix Nigerians problems and not embezle money, that’s a good start."

Currently signed to Audu Maikori’s Chocolate City, Ckay is regarded as one of the most promising stars of the new school.
