The recent insecurity challenges plaguing the South West and South East have cast further doubts on the government's ability to halt the menace.

The never-ending death of many innocent Nigerians especially in the South West due to unnecessary clashes with Fulani herdsmen has spooked fear amongst locals who have continuously called for the dismissal of herdsmen from the region.

MyNigeria.com, in a chat with some of the country’s leading political voices, discussed the matters arising and the way forward on issues that have dominated the news cycle for weeks.

They include; The 'invasion' of the South West by the Fulani herdsmen, the formation, success of security institutions in the various regional blocs i.e. Amotekun & Eastern Security Network (ESN), the prospect of the South East producing the next President and the direct effect of Ngozi Okonji-Iweala's appointment as Director-General of the World Trade Organization on the country.

While the panelists proffered solutions to Nigeria’s raging problems, one thing they all agreed on was the best way to handle the Fulani herdsmen menace.
