Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North state, Nigeria, has urged President Bola Tinubu to address the prevailing hunger issues in the country.

In an interview with Channels Television, Kalu praised Tinubu's achievements in certain economic aspects but highlighted concerns over declining fiscal policies, resulting in food shortages and widespread hunger among citizens.

Kalu emphasized the need for practical measures to improve food security, stating:

“I admire President Tinubu for his accomplishments in various economic and monetary policies.

"However, there is a pressing need to enhance our fiscal policies, particularly in the area of food production. We must prioritize increasing agricultural output to alleviate hunger and ensure food security for our people.”

His comment comes in response to criticisms from netizens who have lamented the worsening economic challenges since Tinubu assumed the presidency of Nigeria.
