President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria had cause to warn his son, Seyi, against sitting through weekly cabinet meetings.
The president made the announcement at the commencement of this week's Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
He stated on October 30, 2023: "Last week, I noticed the undue access of people sneaking in and out of this council, including I saw the photograph of my son, Seyi," who he said was sitting by an official whose name he mentioned.
"That is not acceptable," he declared before announcing persons who are supposed to sit through the FEC meetings even though they are not members of cabinet.
Seyi was an integral part of his father's campaign and recently courted controversy after he flew on a presidential jet with armed guards to watch a polo game in northern Kano State.
