Akatakyie Bounces Back With 'Esi'

Akatakyie, one of the seasoned hiplife rap duos who went on a short break to study the trend of the music scene, is out with a bouncing musical album titled, ?Esi?.

The album, which is to be released on October 20, 2006, is laden with ten danceable tunes which would surely meet the demands of music lovers in Ghana and beyond.

The album has interesting songs that seek to educate the public on issues affecting the society.

In almost all the songs on the album, the duo, ?Akatakyie?, sang splendidly in their sleeking voice with confidence and displayed a high-level experience, as well as complementing it with very rich instrumentation.

Listening to tracks on the album, one cannot fail to notice the well-arranged instrumentation in the tunes.

Many music fans who have had the opportunity to watch the duo perform live on stage, could vouch how crowds of music lovers, especially women, respond merrily to its songs.

One can notice the creative use of instruments running through all the songs and particularly, with the singing of ?Esi? matching perfectly with the tune.

Among all the ten tracks, there isn't a single poor quality song.
?Akatakyie? has put so much flair into all the tracks that, it leaves you virtually wanting more.

What makes the songs pleasant is the import of messages, as well as the raps that go with them.

Opinions about the songs differ, but listening to the lyrics carefully; the kind of message Akatakyie is sending to the youth, one will easily be motivated to sing along.

A track like ?Sie Sie Obaanu?, advises men to treat women with greater respect, prepare them and give them the necessary care they deserve.

The third track ?Fa ma me?, advises and encourages women to be submissive to their partners, since they are the head of the family.

Both pieces of advice were merged in the fourth track, ?Sweetie?, a message to both sexes, warning them not to jilt their partners in times when they are needed most.

The rest of the superb tracks, which one cannot ignore, are ?Awode Mi?, ?Lady?, ?Omanba Pa? and ?Ghana Mbaa?, featuring artistes like Okyeme Kwame, Malaika, Nana Ama and Black Prophet.
