Amarh Pino And Ozimzim Bounces Back

Amarh Pino Every year, prior to the celebration of the Homowo festival, a month-long ban on drumming and unnecessary noise making is enforced within the Ga traditional area.

During this period, all entertainment spots virtually go on holiday as everybody including worshipping centres are bound to observe the order.

After the long period, the stage is set for show business to continue, and as usual the first weekend is always welcome and cherished by the general public when all entertainment spots spring back for normal business.

On Saturday, June 5, the Osekan Seaside Resort would be hosting the renowned darling musician Amarh Pino and his Ozimzim Band to usher in the Homowo festival.

The musician, who has just returned from a successful European tour, has chosen the festive period to stage his comeback on the big band musical scene to thrill his fans with tunes from his oldies and latest musical album entitled Love In Africa.

After playing with an uncountable number of seasoned musicians and groups, the musician, who shot to fame while with the Marriot Int Band, then with Princess Cynthia as the only female vocalist, churned out hit songs until he left to form his Ozimzim Band.

With three albums to his credit, the current with the single hit Maria; the favourite of many is selling like hot cake on the market.Dubbed ?Homowo Open Showdown?, the programme will also feature the unbeatable Silver Wings Band, the 2003 Gome Music competition award winners, Oblaboloi Cultural Troupe and many other hiplife musicians.

Although the venue, Osekan Seaside Resort is just two years old, patrons who have been to the cave spot will attest to the fact that it is now the home of quality entertainment shows, good food and drinks to relax your nerves after the week?s hard work.
