?Anadwo Bogya?: God?s Vessel to Expose the Devil

At the Ghana Gospel Music Awards night at the National Theatre recently, one of the musicians who brought joy to the audience was Joseph Mensah, aka Anointing of Anadwo Bogya fame.

After the release of his second album Anadwo Bogya, this 27-year old has become a household name because of his hit songs Anadwo Bogya which is the title track of the album.

But the road to fame was not rosy. It took hard work, dedication and lots of inspiration for him to reach this far.

Joseph Mensah, who worships with the Church of Pentecost, believes that the Good Lord is using young men and women on the gospel music scene to revive, comfort and preach repentance to sinners.

He is convinced therefore that he has been called to expose the devil through his music. The gospel musician who hails from Zebila in the Northern Region was born and bred at Agogoso in the Ashanti Region.

Joseph attended the Agogoso Local Authority Primary School and completed his Junior Secondary School education at Agogoso L/A JSS.

According to him, even though he got apprenticed as a mason and had to move Old Tafo, a suburb of Kumasi consequently to work, he did not stop worshipping, singing to the glory of God. As a result, he became a chorus leader which eventually led him to singing at conventions and church rallies.

He decided to release his second album when he realised his songs ministered to his listeners. Anadwo Bogya an eight track album has other hit songs such as ?Bra Na Obegye Wo? and ?Wo Ne Me Boafo?.

?Anadwo Bogya has been made to encourage all to remain focused on their service to God?, he added.
