‘BOLINGO’ DOES NOT MEAN SEX- STORMMY

Caleb Osumanu musically known as Stormmy whose slogan is the bouncy baby boy has come out to explain the meaning of his term “BOLINGO” based on argument that came up during his interview with Mr. M host of Hot Sauce on Crystal TV. The musician said: ‘in our music world we need to create terms for fans to be able to use as a means of communication hence that is what I did with the term ‘BOLINGO’.

He also added that, people are used to calling names of their love ones all the tim but I tried to use the term BOLINGO so that if you want to call your love one, replace it with BOLINGO.

Mr. M challenged the explanation given by the artiste and still insisted that BOLINGO means Sex, hence the lyrics of the song easily depicts that. In answering the challenge from the host of Hot Sauce, Stormmy said, even at a sister TV station they also claimed the word BOLINGO means sex, so they will not show the video and they are not showing it, even though I am paying for the air time but in actual terms it is not. In a tired voice, Stormmy said, BOLINGO simply means call someone, is a popular Nigerian term used a lot by Nigerians and since all my life I have been staying with Nigerians, he decided to introduce the term in Ghana.

Finally Mr. M understood the term as ‘to CALL someone’ and not to sleep or have sex with another person after carefully listening to the song. Stormmy who is signed to 2GOF entertainment, a new record label in the music world, was grateful to fans, radio-pub DJs and all those blasting BOLINGO in large speakers for the world to hear.

His final words was, in creating or introducing a term into the music world is one difficult thing but Ghanaians are welcoming BOLINGO a term that has a clean controversy surrounding it, I am humbled so far with the response. So there you have it, BOLINGO does not mean SEX neither does it mean to have make out but it is to call someone especially your love one.
