Bloggers leaked my ‘Enemy’ song - Jupitar

Jupitar Jupitar

Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Jupitar has pointed accusing fingers at bloggers for leaking his song ‘Enemy’ online without his knowledge.

The artiste in an interview with Black I on Daybreak Hitz (Showbiz Review) on Hitz FM claimed that the song which features rapper Sarkodie was officially released in January this year.

“I have some top club and radio DJs that I send my new songs to for feedback, maybe they were over excited and probably someone copied it from their machine or phone,” he said.

“My song was officially released in January but was leaked in December online, I didn’t know that until I released mine and found out that some of the bloggers had released it,” the dancehall artiste alleged.

Jupitar gave the explanation in a reaction to reports that his song ‘Enemy’ may not be nominated for 2016’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards because the date of release is not within the calendar year of the award scheme.

According to George Quaye, Public Relations Officer of Chaterhouse, organizers of the awards, songs that were not released between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015 will not receive nominations in next year’s awards.

Asked if her will alert organizers of the awards on the latest revelation, Jupitar said, “If they reach out to me and ask if my sound qualifies for nomination and believe what I say and decide to nominate it, cool.”

“But I can’t personally chase them, I have done my part, so they should try and get the rest of the information from me before nominations open,” he concluded.
