As has been repeated several times in various quarters, the liberalization of the country?s airwaves and its resultant emergence of private TV and Radio stations has unearthed lots of talented presenters and broadcasters who are making waves in the industry.
One of such talented radio cum TV presenter who has carved a niche for himself over the last few years is Kwabena Adisi a.k.a Bola Ray, presenter of Drive Time on Joy FM and Music Music on TV3. Since his entry into the radio industry, courtesy Radio Universe, Bola Ray has won the hearts of many radio and TV followers across the country and has become a household name.
As if his exploits and hard work here in Ghana were not enough, this ambitious young man recently became the first Ghanaian radio presenter to be hosted on the world renowned BBC. Getting bigger each passing day, Bola Ray featured on Top of the Pop UK Radio and TV produced by Alan Rowett, Shadowed for White Label produced by Bobby Seker and on BBC Musicbiz. He again featured on I Hanged Out Tim Westwood (UK number 1 hip-hop DJ).
Information available to P&P indicates that many radio presenters who had the opportunity to listen to Bola Ray while on air at various times thought he was a regular UK based radio presenter. Later when the listeners got the wind that the eloquent presenter was a guest from Ghana, one listener remarked, ?We need the likes of Bola Ray on our radio to add more flavour to the programmes.?
