Borax: A Talented Artiste

Borax Jovial, intelligent, lyrically-gifted and full of poise are words you would use to describe 22 year old Nat Larbi a.k.a Borax.

Born on the 12th of May 1981 at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to Miss Lucy Akorley and Mr. Daniel A. Larbi. Having discovered his talent at an early age, he performed at shows like Fun World, during which time artistes like Tic Tac, Yoggi Doggy and Ex ?Doe were doing their own thing. After he released his first album which contained the hit song Asee Ho, Borax has been on the quiet for sometime now. Asee Ho, which featured Daddy Lumba generated a lot of controversy when it was released.

His first album contained tracks like Ahoofe Hemaa, which featured Deeba, Odo Meko, Nana Yaa, which featured Yvonne Ohene Djan and Eye Onoa. Other songs on that album included Twe Ben Yen featuring Don Dee, Mama Pa featuring Don Dee, Mosquito and Nas Pinto.

Borax explains that the reason why he has been on the quiet for sometime is that he?s working on his second album which will be out soon. Speaking exclusively to Ghana Music. Com, Borax said that the album has 10 tracks including songs like Odo Meba, Wala, Bubra, Mentie Obi Ano, Mente Gyae and a captivating song called B Squad which interestingly features six artistes whose names starts with B that is Blazi, Batman, Bacteria, Bandana and  Bonchaka Terry.

Some of the songs were recorded at Dan Oly Studios and some with Nana King?s Ashanti International Studio. The album is executively produced by Daddy Lumba. His Public Relations Manager is Charles Lawson. He is managed by Abeiku of Joy .F.M. Borax has 2 brothers namely Prince and Frank and a sister called Winsome. He had his basic education at Ministry of Health Primary and J.S.S. and his secondary education at Accra Academy. He worships at I.C.G.C and is inspired by artistes like Chaka Demus, Shaba Ranks, Buju Banton and Daddy Lumba.

Borax believes that hiplife will move to a higher level and advises all artistes to be originative and creative and not sample other people?s music.
