Ever since Hiplife Artiste Captain Planet, who doubles as the leader of Multiple award-winning group; 4X4 released his solo hit track 'Obi Agyi Obi Girl’, he has constantly denied rumours circulating that the group has collapsed.

The 9th edition of the annual 4Syte TV Music Videos Awards was held at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Hosted by Ghana’s King Of comedy DKB, the event saw resplendent performances from award-winning acts like Stonebwoy, VVIP, Becca, Sarkodie, Mr Eazi, Wutah and Captain Planet.

Circumspectively, amongst these performances, one artiste who took the whole auditorium by storm with a master-Class performance is Captain Planet.

Performing his ‘Obi Agyi Obi Girl’ hit song for the first time, at the time almost everybody was down in the auditorium, Captain Planet reignited the entire ceremony by getting everyone singing and dancing to the popular tune [‘Obi Agyi Obi Girl’]

‘Obi Agyi Obi Girl’ that features Kofi Kinaata ,talks about how painful it is when one’s girlfriend is snatched from him and how enjoyable it is when someone takes another person’s girlfriend.

As someone who has perpetually denied rumour of their break up,I (Online Surgeon) expected to see the other half of the one-time most feared group in Ghana,4X4 together on stage in order to at least cement the denial of their purported break up.

But surprisingly, that assumption didn’t materialized— As a Plausible Online News Surgeon,I began to ask myself questions as to why Captain Planet’s ‘Obi Agye Obi Girl’ is the biggest song in Ghana now and how on earth should he perform it for the first time on such a big night without the support of the other half?

I can recall in one of Captain Planet's interviews that, they were doing solo projects in order to rebrand the group. In actual facts, if truly there is nothing amiss with the foundation of the group, why didn’t they come and support their brother? wasn’t it the best occasion to rejuvenate the group?

Yes, as someone who has worked with Artistes for the past Fifteen(15) years and knows how they relate when everything is working perfectly,i swiftly came to a conclusion that the foundation of 4X4 group which was formed in 2000 by Captain Planet, Coded who were later joined by Fresh Prince is flimsy and has either broken up or on the verge of announcing their break-up.
