Citi FM brings you MOGO 2008

On December 5, 2008 patrons of hi-life music will once again get to enjoy a repertoire of live hi-life music when Citi FM’s MOGO takes place.

MOGO stands for Music of Ghanaian Origin, and it is one of the flagship programmes for your favourite radio station, Citi FM.

MOGO is in its fourth year. Past events have featured great music talents and legends like, Osibisa, Paulina Oduro, Daddy Lumba, Nana Acheampong, Agya Koo Nimo, and so on.

This year, the Ramblers International Band, AB Crentsil, Abrantie Amakye Dede, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Lee Dodou and the only female of the night Asaabea Cropper, will rock and serenade the evening with great tunes that made hits in the 80s and 90s.

This event which comes off two days before the December 7 general elections will bring together hi-life music lovers to relax, enjoy good music and to prepare their minds for peaceful elections.

Nii Amah Dagadu, Business and Development Manager of Citi FM, says the MOGO concept is a celebration of the different music forms of Ghana and not the preserve of particular genre of music.

He added, “This is Citi FM’s own way of helping Ghanaians to release pre-election stress, to realize that there are other things that bind us together as Ghanaians like our beautiful music. So this is just a way of helping us put our political differences aside and appreciate each other and the peace we enjoy.”

The show is sponsored by Coca Cola.
