D-Flex Drops Fresh Tune For Christmas

Hip life artiste D-Flex has released a new single for all Christians to celebrate the Christmas season with.

The song is titled ‘Nyame Yaba’, meaning ‘God we are here’ and it features Mentor 3 winner Erico. Born Abubakar Alhassan, D Flex released the song to say thank you to the Almighty God (Allah) for all his mercies and guidance throughout the year.

“’Nyame Yaba’ came at this festive time not because I wanted to please God (Allah) but because I want to tell God (Allah) that on behalf of all my fans and the people of Ghana, we are grateful for the year 2011, since Christmas season is to praise the Maker of heaven and earth for his birth including all the good work.

“If I say that this year has not been good then I am lying. The year might have had so many challenges but thankfully I have seen the year 2011 till December; not many had the chance hence I decided to hit a musical note that will draw God’s (Allah) attention to the fact that his children are grateful,” D-Flex stressed.

It is interesting how D Flex, a Muslim, is singing for a Christian. “From the onset when the inspiration of the song came to me, I wanted to work with Nobel Nketiah but I could not reach him, so I told Erico about it. He was so happy to be on the song.

Erico came by the studios and we made it happen with a simple intention of preaching peace amongst our fans, Ghanaians and the world as a whole that religion should not divide us,” he added. The video of ‘Nyame Yaba’, shot by Steve Gyamfi of Real Haus, is out.
