Please halt whatever you are doing at this moment; settle down comfortably in your seat, grab a glass of your favourite beverage and join me. Have a good read about the sexy diva set to take Africa and the world by storm - Elivava.

Fans would like to know your real name.
Tina Mensah

When and where were you born?
About 20 years ago in Accra to Mr. Matthew Gbevi and Miss Beatrice Agbontor.

Are you the only one?
No. I have five strong brothers protecting me.

At what age did you join the real music train?
At age 17 doing something with Pastor Bonnie titled ?W?adi Nkonim? (He has been victorious). After doing that song, people saw the best in me so I will say that made me go a step further. Nat Brew?s brother Yoofi and George Aban after realising what I had in me made me do an advert for Frytol Cooking Oil.

Oh yes, I remember that. But you were later missing in action. What was the reason?
I moved from the single group into the married category and had two kids with him, which I had to take care of. I wanted to devote all my time for my kids and husband, which could not be possible if I was still doing music at that time because it took much of my time, thus thought of it to stay off the game for a while.

Are you still with him?
Hmm, it?s?.

Don?t tell me it?s personal?
Thanks for concluding my statement. I really appreciate that. (Laughs)

I see. Can you tell me what happened from there?
After going through thick and thin, it was comeback time.

Why did you come back?
Music is my backbone thus realised I could not do anything without my food ? music.

Wow, that is very deep. If music is your food, what is your drink?
(Laughs)

How was coming back like?
Very tough. But with the help of Jon Dee and George, I came back to the music world. I then had my breakthrough with Sidney?s ?Apuskeleke? song, which turned Ghana upside down. That in a way drew me closer to the ladder of success. From there, I backed a lot of songs for most Ghanaian artistes like Akatakyie, Obrafour, Nkasei, K.K Fosu, Rocky Dawuni, Borax and Lumba (?Odo Bewu Dee..?), Omanhene Pozo,. King David (?Aye Fe Notse?), Nyansapo (?I?m Aware?), VIP (?Ahomka Womu?).

Have you had the chance to bless any other non-Ghanaian album(s) with your voice?
Yes. Dede from Nigeria, Orlando Julius also from Nigeria, Gigi Ananda of France and Rexinoi of Togo.

Quickly to your new album. Tell us about it.
I have finished with three songs namely ?Woman of Substance?, ?Langalanga? and ?First Love?. Some of the songs are being produced by Johnny Fingers with Shoen Armin (MOMA) as the executive producer.

What themes run through the album?
Some of the songs are about love and the others about life and women. My music has a feel of the soul, rock, and the African style.

The news in the media now is you performing in Germany for the World Cup. What should we expect from you?
Surprises and a dynamic stagecraft. On June 22, 2006 in Nuernberg -Germany, people should watch out for a good show.

Your last words.
?My greatest thanks goes to God for bringing me this far. To my fans, you have made me what I am today. Thanks a lot for that and watch out for something never happened before?.
