Elivava To Perform in Germany For The FIFA World Cup

It has always been our custom to bring to the doorsteps of the public first hand news on some hit-to-be albums. 2005 was no different with some artistes gaining success and others failing to glitter.

Bright: People wanted to know whether they were breaking up or not. Am talking about Bright and Ronnie making up the group -Buk Bak. Well, it has been confirmed. They are no more hiding it; Buk Bak is no more. They are all persuading solo music careers now.

Bright is working on his solo debut album with famed sound engineer, Jay Q and other yet-to-be known engineers. Bright hasn?t really finished recording but says every song will be hot. The album could also include a hip-hop track featuring Okra.

Prediction: This album has been so long in the making and hyped a lot.

Okra: He has made name for himself by being a guest artiste on most successful songs. He had his breakthrough on Obrafour?s compilation album on a hit-track ?Ayeeko? with Tinny.

He has blessed the songs of Kofi B, Okyeame Kojo Kumi, Sidney, Backbone, Kokovelli, Castro, Digi, Bohyeba, Kwaw Kese, 2 Toff, and Quata. I guess by now you have an idea of the hip life artiste am talking about. It is no other person than Okra Tom Dawidi.

Finally Finally Finally, he has let the cat loose out of the bag and will be releasing his maiden album hopefully this year.

The only 411 I will give you guys is that the album is a dance-to-your feet album titled ?M?agyae Kronoo?. Bear this in mind; Okra never fails, he impresses and surprises.

Mzbel: Can she maintain her crown as Princess of hip life music this year? Mzbel who was sexually molested by KNUST students has revealed to Ghana Music.com that she will release another controversial album titled ?Kiss Me?.

After headlining big shows in Togo and London, she has carved a niche for herself. With her sexy ways of catching the eyes of her fans and the team behind her, we suspect another hit on the Ghanaian music industry.

Castro: Rap artiste, singer and dancer, Castro is among artistes that will release this year. He is still enjoying success from his second album and the current collaboration with Shilo and Screwface (CASHFACE).

After listening to the raw lyrics of the song on Appietus? beat, I said to myself ?Castro knows how to always please the music industry. No words yet on those he featured or the titles of the songs, but if it?s anything like or more than ?Toffee?, then expect something big to hit the music industry. Expect more ?Sakuaba.

Okomfo Kwaadee: I personally think Kwaadee hit the nail right on the head and has what his fans had always wanted from him.

A teaser of the album started last year December, but serious promotion of the album has not begun yet.

I mean the song titled ?P. 1? is blazing the airwaves and now, I guess he has won the heart of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II with a song about Otumfuo Education Fund.

With a new look by cutting off his dreads, he is set for a fresh start and will tear Ghana apart.

Tinny: Does he still have what people wanna hear from him? Tinny is getting humble on his upcoming album which is dated to be released early this year with an album launch.

Humility isn't Aletse?s thing, but it's hard to be shy when he has released two albums within a year.

He knows how to pull crowd and we all hope his third album pulls more people than ?Makola Kwakwa? and ?Aletse?.

Obrafour: Does Obrafour ?Rap Sofo? have enough hot beats left in the tank to make it? With Hammer behind him on his beats, can Obrafour still maintain his fans who keep asking questions about his comeback especially his next release?

The news we have on Obrafour for this year is he keeps on recording and hasn?t really set a date for coming out but can say he has done a song with Kanda Bongo Man.

Hammer: Hammer has been part of many hits for most artistes. Talk of Obrafour, Tinny, Deeba, Okra, 4x4, Dogo and Kwaw Kese. Now, it's the second time to stand in the spotlight again.

His second compilation album has been pushed to the second quarter of this year and it will come loaded with an equal amount of hip-hop and hip life songs.

Though the boys are ?green?, Hammer says he will be using new boys (foot soldiers) on the latest compilation dubbed ?The Lost Files?.

The first single, ?M?adi Ne Bronya? featuring Abaa, which was meant for the Christmas celebration was slow to take off but Hammer has a proven track record of making hot tunes and as such has rejuvenated the song for the Easter celebrations.

Screwface: Rag life artiste Screwface has laid his voice on most songs like that of Castro ? and the now hitting song of Nana Fremah.

As long as Screwface stays focused on his kind of music and trains his voice well, his album will definitely go places. And hey, expect his signature ?Buei Buei?, on his new songs.

FBS: There are so many hip life groups around but when we talk of dancing moves, one group comes to mind. They have been in the hiding even though their song ?Oluman Boogie? is still enjoying airplay.

Still on Lisarf Music Production, they bounced back with a successful launching of their album last year December in the Northern region of Ghana.

Function Boys Squad, do your own thing this year.

Praye: These boys are too good. The focus is on them and gossip columnists can?t leave them alone.

Winning the National and African titles of Nescafe African Revelation (NAR) with a unique style, they won the hearts of many.

They crowned it all last year when they won the ?Best Group from West Africa award? at KORA All Africa Awards. Not a single show is being held without them performing.

Riding high on Appietus? compilation with a song titled ?Run run some things?, I think they will put their new album on hold as their fans are thinking the song on Appietus? album is a singe on their new album.

These ?kids? are yet to release and if they do so, it will definitely be a new thing in the music game.

Kwaku Gyasi: Will fans want to dance to songs of Kwaku Gyasi again? Yes, they will get on the dancing floors anytime ?Onyame Aseda? is played.

In order to thank God for ushering Ghanaians into a new year, he did this praise song, which gets people on their feet anytime it?s being played.

Ghana?s finest, handsome and fashionable, young and married gospel artiste has surprised the gospel music scene again with another hit gospel song following his ?Ayeyi? album.
