Entourage Touch Base Tomorrow...Shaggy Lands Friday 10 am

Shaggy visits Nsambya children's home Uganda Just after his second bash on Thursday, Dec 31 at Speke Resort, Munyonyo in Uganda, and a family show on New Year?s day, Shaggy dispatches his 20-member team to Ghana same day (New Year?s Day) ahead of his big landing at 10am on Friday January 2, 2004.

So who is not coming, contrary to our initial report that the former US marine turned pop-star was coming with a 22-member team? The Brain Bothers will be absent, according to CharterHouse Productions, the event promoters.

All the same, bad boy Rik Rok and Ravon who appeared on Shaggy?s It Wasn?t Me and Angel respectively (both tracks on his multi platinum Hot Shot album) will be part of the fan, according to Sheila Okonji, Shaggy?s publicist who was in town a few days ago to spread the real news.

But what do we expect from Mr. Lover man, Ghana Music.Com asked Ms. Okonji at the offices of CharterHouse Productions. ?Loads of smiles and gals?, she said.

Are they girls Shaggy would be importing onto our beautiful land? I probed. ?No!?, she says, ?When he lands in Ghana, what Shaggy will first do after saying ?thank you? to Ghanaians for expecting him that much, would be to go searching for the girls; and I mean the hot party girls. You know him as the girls-boy?, don?t you!?. That was Sheila Okonji of Zons PR, London, for you.

According to Ms. Okonji, Shaggy will be in Ghana for four days starting Friday through to Monday. ?He?s scheduled to meet His Excellency, the president of the Republic of Ghana, John Adjekum Kufour, before he moves to just everywhere in Ghana within the time he?d be around?.

According to his schedule, Shaggy (born Orville Richard Burell), meets the press shortly after his arrival before he?s whisked away to the plush La Palm Beach Hotel for the real taste of Ghana. The hospitality and all will be specially packaged in a dinner-style welcoming for Shaggy.

And people, if you want know how Ghanaians are taking these shows, try paying a visit to any of the ticket sales outlets. The tickets are hot!

Ghana Music.Com will be around to fill you in.
