Hiplife group 4×4 released visuals to their latest single, Atongo, which also features Bright of BukBak fame earlier this month.
The song has been so widely accepted that they even joked day ago in an interview with Kasapa FM that President Mahama too has caught on to the Atongo craze.
Ace entertainment writer, pop pundit and Chief Executive Officer of Maestro Africa Group, Francis Doku, has via Twitter, expressed his affection to visuals of the song. ” I like the 4×4 ‘Atongo’ video,” he wrote.
The video, driven by vivacious dancing amidst gentle rain, also shows key monuments and cultures of northern Ghana. It was directed by top Ghanaian video directors Phamous Philms.
Formed in 2000 by Captain Planet (Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey) and Coded (Raphael Edem Avornyo) with the help of mentors Buk Bak, they were joined buy singer Fresh Prince (Prince Tamakloe) in 2007. They are also among the most consistent groups in Ghana.
Atongo comes off the foot of recent successes with such singles as Tantalizing, Auntie Dede, and Baby Dance, and is a build up to their upcoming fourth album.
