GLO is wise - Gyedu Blay Ambolley

Ghanaian ace high life artiste Gyedu Blay Ambolley has expressed dismay at the failure of some telecommunication companies in Ghana to sign old highlife musicians as their ambassadors.

According to Ambolley, some of the old highlife musicians have been relegated to the background by the telecommunication companies when it comes to the selection of brand icons.

He stated that most of the old highlife musicians are still marketable even though they have been out of the lime light for some time.

Gyedu Blay Ambolley was signed by Glo as its ambassador alongside artistes like Tinny, Asem, Becca, Kwabena Kwabena, Ayigbe Edem and movie stars like Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari, and Van Vicker as well as Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan among others.

Speaking with Adom Entertainment News, Ambolley said the blend of both the young and old celebrities in Ghana by Glo is a wise decision and should be commended.

“I wonder why other telecom companies refuse to contract some of us as their ambassadors but I believe they are targeting the youth that is why most of their icons are the hiplifers but Glo has come to change the story,” he said.

He conceded that his finances have improved since he was signed by Glo.

“I can now smile when I look at my bank accounts because the situation is never the same since Glo came into my life. It is just a matter of taking good care of the money in order not to misuse it,” Ambolley revealed.
