Ghanaians in Berlin, Germany will dance to the music of top highlife musician George Darko as they commemorate Ghana’s 45th anniversary of attainment of republic status on July 2.
The event organized by the Ghana Embassy and sponsored by Ghanawave.com and Western Union will guests from African Embassies joining their Ghanaian hosts in a bash that is intended to remind of their responsibilities to their home countries as Ghanaians and Africans in Europe.
The get-together will also have the Adikanfo Cultural Group performing Ghanaian games, as well as dishes will also be available for those who want to eat and play.
After that appearance, George will also perform at Frankfurt for the African Students Organizations.
Again, in Berlin he will perform and launch his latest album ‘Ayesha’ at the World Cultural Centre, where Ghanaian and African Community are expected once again to jam to his songs.

George Darko will centre stage again at the World Music Festival at Kavelaer, Germany where a number of other class musicians will perform.
In a telephone conversation with Showbiz, George Darko explained that, he will however come down in August to release his latest album ’Ayesha’ before returning to Germany, to perform at the World Music Festival.
George Darko, one of the leading exponents of highlife music, has always thrilled Ghanaians with his brand of highlife, which is contemporary, and known as ‘Burger’ highlife.
His hit songs include the evergreen ‘Akoo Te Brofa’ and recently ‘Odo Colour’, which has kept him as an icon in the music world.
