Ghana?s music scene has seen the youth branching into the Hiplife scene a lot but this young charming ?nigga? has decided to take on Hip-hop music in Ghana. We see a few rappers doing what they call underground or afropop in Ghana here such as Talking Drums, Shoilin Monfunk, Shyne, our Godfather Reggie Rockstone, NFL, etc but NiggaBoom has set out on a quest to make Hip-hop music a reality in Ghana.
Born Daniel Asante where back on the 20th December, 1984 and the only child of Madam Abigail Osei. Obamen is the Hometown of his parents and thus his too. He attended his elementary school at Greenhill International School and is currently in his final year at Presec Secondary School, Legon. His hobbies are anything that pertains to hip-hop music- writing and listening to hip-hop music when he not at school or at shows.
Speaking to Ghanamusic.com at their office, he was asked Why Hip hop in Ghana? Well, I would say that music is a form of communication and since English language is wide spread or our colonial language he chose hip-hop so that his voice could be heard world wide.
He says he started miming some rap lines of famous international rappers like Nas, DMX and Tupac. So he found it necessary to sit down and whip out his own type of music. Nigga Boom hopes to come out with his own album very soon and has some tracks he?s working on.
Nigga Boom?s album title will be ?NiggaBoom?s Classic?. It will be an album that would have afro beats and some old school flavours that will make it go on to another level. The flow of his lyrics will be more than what niggars on the street will be expecting.
Some of the tracks he would love viewers of this site to know are ?NiggaBoom? which will open the album and basically lets you know who NiggaBoom is. ?Braveheart? is another track on the which will be catchy on the album. Thirdly is ?the way I spit my flow? is just saying that he spends his ?dough? (money) like the way he flows (raps) on the mic.
Other tracks will be ?The Way I Spit da Flow?, ?the street is mine?, ?Life of an Outlaw?, ?PB?s Finest?, ?Ma Sweetgirl?, ?Ma World?, ?Days of ma Life?, and lastly ?Africa? that will be a poetic rap song with so many inspirational words.
He?s got big dreams that he will be signed on to Def Jam Records, Wayoosi Music or Ill Will Records one day. Niggaboom recently won Choice FM's Club Lounge Freestyle competition.
Hip-hop is his dreams and is going to or will survive in Ghana because he knows that the streets are yearning for him and hip-hop music and so long as he?s in existence, this dream will materalise and become a reality. So watch out all ya Niggars who love Hip-hop music so much.
