Gospel musician, Samuel Boadu Marfo, has advised the youth, particularly musicians, to stay away from drugs and premarital sex in order to keep their careers on track.
"Righteousness exalts a person (nation) and remember, God loves you all", Samuel said in his comments on the development of music in Ghana. He also advised young musicians to get education first and, if possible, acquire skills in other trades to increase their wealth.
Apart from music, Samuel also manufactures aquariums, church pulpits, artificial waterfalls and fountains. He has two albums; 'San Bra W?kyi' and 'My Saviour', to his credit, and is working on his third album.
Samuel is married to Ophelia Boadu. They are blessed with two daughters, Nana Adjoa Marfo and Ama Marfo. He attended Snaps College from 1986-1991 and also did a two-year course at the Vine Yard Music Ministry School. "That was when I realized my gift of song ministration, which I needed to develop to enable me to touch the lives of my fans".
The gospel singer is a youth leader and his music ministry is targeted at the youth. His two releases enjoyed appreciable patronage on radio and television, especially TV3's music programmes.
According to Mr. Kofi Appiagyei, Executive Director of Jeba Coosi, producer of Jeba products and manager of Samuel Marfo, "Ghanaians should expect something extraordinary when Samuel releases his third album in June. He will tour the US and West Africa before launching the album in Accra".
