Gospel singer Ophelia Nyantaky celebrates 20years in showbiz

Ace Gospel musician Ophelia Nyantakyi now known as Abena Serwaa Ophelia on Saturday 4th November 2017 celebrated her great milestone in her Gospel music career.

The singer used the opportunity to advise other gospel musicians including; Joyce Blessing, Cece Tsum, Grace Ashley among others to come together and unite.

Not only is she a gospel singer but also an entrepreneur who trains and also adopt children and provide them with a better living.

The ‘Tumi Wura’ worship singer [Ophelia Nyantakyi] said there’s a need to rebrand as a gospel musician and that is what I have done.

She continued that, 20 years in the music industry hasn’t been easy… I have been through a lot of trails… but in music, if you’re not prayerful forget because we meet a lot of task for me [Ophelia] prayer is my key because I know without prayer I can’t make it.

I’ve seen a lot of tremendous change in the genre… I believe its ok and how we used to sing during our time has changed so for me It’s ok”, said Ophelia.

When asked again won’t the change of name affect her brand? She responded that there’s nothing wrong… I always say if God can make unknown artistes or upcoming artistes known I believe that my name will make a difference.

She further continued that, the name Ophelia Nyantakyi now Abena Serwah Ophelia is due to my divorce with my husband but I don’t have any problem with him I’ve kids with him.

Known for her sense of fashion, the CEO of ABS collections on the night thrilled invited guest with her good old day’s worship songs as funds were raised to help the needy and also to set up business for her apprentices.

The night saw Joyce Blessing, Cece Tsum Francis Amo among other thrilled patrons with contemporary and indigenous gospel music.
