Highlife At It Best- MOGO Artistes

After all is said and done, MOGO - Music Of Ghanaian Origin will be coming on, on Friday the 1st of December at the Accra International Conference Center at exactly 7:00 pm.

Mr.Chris Donkor, the producer of the show indicated to Ghananewstoday that everything has been put together for a good show come tomorrow the 1st of December.

Mr. Donkor speaking from the rehearsal grounds said "we've really put a lot of effort into this concert because we believe is a show of a life time, all the artist is in town, talk of Ben Brako, Paulina Oduro, Koo Nimo, Osibisa and all the other artist and judging from what I am witnessing at the rehearsal ground I have no doubt we're in for for a great show".

Paulina Oduro has this to say when Ghananewstoday solicited her comments on the show, "I'm really happy to be part of this great concert,I know Ghanaians are expecting a good show and all I can say to my fans is that, they should come and see highlife at it's".

Paulina, who is based in London together with Ben Brako, promised to deliver some of her latest tracks on her new album which according to her will be released in December.

One of the artists who has taken highlife in a high esteem to the western world, George Darko, who is also a revolutionary in Ghanaian highlife music, changing its landscape. He introduced the Burger-highlife with his first hit "Ako ti brofo", which became very popular in the early 1980s.

George Darko has continued to bring a contemporary sensitivity to his tradition-rooted music since returning to live in his homeland of Ghana. George Darko who has been involved with music much of his life told this reporter that music is soul to his life and when it comes to highlife he delivers it like how God deliver rain to the earth. To his fans, the King of burger highlife said they should come and experience and enjoy the unadulterated highlife of their time.

With Osibisa promising a show of a life time all I can say for now is don't be left out in this great festival of a life time.
