Days after an Accra Circuit Court acquitted and discharged Ekow Micah who was facing trial for unlawful possession of narcotics; the reggae act in an interview revealed how he contributed to Asamoah Gyan's success.

"Gyan is my junior brother and I've taken care of his senior brother before".

Ekow told Peace FM, "Baffour was my boy, I did the first team he played. So whatever Asamoah Gyan will be enjoying today, in a very humble way I have contributed to it. Asamoah Gyan was nobody if not for Baffour Gyan who helped him be who he is today. What made me come in was that, they were trying to rubbish what the girl."

On August 4, Micah was arrested by the Airport Police over an alleged extortion case currently under investigation.

ACP Atimbilah said the following day, at about 1130 hours, the police and the accused person visited Micah’s house to conduct a search and in the process, a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp was found concealed in Micah’s “back pack”.
