I'm back to save hip-life music - C-zar

C-Zar C-Zar

Multiple award winning hiplife musician, C-zar has revealed that he is back in the music scene to save hiplife music.

C-zar who is currently out with his hit track titled 'Sorry' , was answering a question pertaining to how the state of hiplife music is.

The 'Mercy Lokko' hit maker spoke with Dr.Who, host of hot and classic showbiz review on Hot 93.9fm in Accra.

"Dr.Who, frankly hiplife music is currently not doing well like it was some years back. Now all the guys are switching to hip-pop and Afro-pop which is extremely bad", C-zar noted.

He added, "Reggie Rockstone, Nananom, late Terry Bonchaka,Tic Tac, Obrafour, Lord Kenya, Buk bak etc did very well for hiplife. The Nigerian musicians are the ones confusion our artists with the English dialect. Now immediately you sing in English dialect then it's perceived to be either hip-pop or Afro pop which is wrong. I'm back in the game just to save the hiplife genre".

C-zar is known in real life as Augustine Osei Owusu. His newest song 'Sorry' is currently enjoying massive airplay. He featured Luther and was produced by Nero Steger.
